I'm an Upstate New Yorker, but home is where the Navy sends me, which for the forseeable future is Washington DC. Until mid-May of 2001, I hadn't actually lived in New York for sixteen years, but I still voted there, and my drivers license and Jeep registration have been there. When I moved back, I had to pay twice as much income tax than I would have had to pay if I had lived in New Jersey, where my civilian job was. On my Dad's side, my family has been in NY since it was a Dutch colony, but my mother still has a green card, so I get the best of both worlds. Cruiser is the callsign my squadron mates gave me.
